4/7/19 discussion after lowering my following/follower count on Twitter

Here is the link to my April 7, 2019, Twitter thread discussion after I did a huge amount of unfollowing and soft-blocking on Twitter, taking my count of followers from 850 to 112, and taking my count of profiles I was following from 650 to 112.

This thread pretty much speaks for itself. However, I would like to mention a term in the thread: "FBR cult." This is the "Follow Back Resistance," which I did see as a cult.

Essentially, once people would join the Follow Back Resistance, that's when their Twitter profiles would really ramp up with all these bot-style tweets. It was like people would join the Follow Back Resistance, and I could watch them morph into what I called "half-bots" -- Twitter profiles for real people, even people I knew in real life, that suddenly seemed to be run, to some degree or another, by bots.

The Follow Back Resistance was really gross and really toxic. And I'm a liberal and a Democrat. But I will say -- that was totally a liberal and Democratic invention.

Twitter's platform has twisted each of my threads through 2018 and 2019 out of chronological order. This thread is very affected, and is only somewhat coherent. My apologies.
