5/27/19 discussion about Terry McMillan and her ex-lover

Here is the link to my May 27, 2019, Twitter thread discussion of the history of Terry McMillan and the lover who inspired her novel How Stella Got Her Groove Back.

While I believe my heart was sort of in the right place with this thread -- I really wanted to defend LGBTQ people -- I nowadays believe this to be one of the most tone-deaf, culturally incompetent, self-righteous, and even racist threads I've ever written.

Twitter's platform has twisted each of my threads through 2018 and 2019 out of chronological order. This thread is very affected, and is only somewhat coherent. My apologies.
