11/5/20 review of the film The Trouble With Being Born, directed by Sandra Wollner

Here is the link to my November 5, 2020, Twitter thread review of the film The Trouble With Being Born, directed by Sandra Wollner, and which I saw at the 43rd annual Denver Film Festival.

I did my research too quickly for this thread. The names of the characters are not given at all in the film. I gave the names of the characters as they were listed on Wikipedia. I don't know where those names came from. I did one more analysis of this films and did not use those names.

This is one of the best films I saw in 2020. However, given its themes, which do include sexualized situations between adult humans and an android made to look like a child, it's likely that this film will either not get any additional screenings in America, or else that it will drive a ton of controversy, especially, of course, among people who want to write more laws to censor and erase youth sexuality.
