12/19/20 The French Dispatch, movie studios, and local movie houses

Here is the link to my December 19, 2020, Twitter thread -- which started, actually, as a December 7 tweet to Searchlight Pictures, about how the Wes Anderson film The French Dispatch came to stand in my mind as an example of how movie studios were not paying attention to options for releasing their films and helping to support actual movie theaters during the COVID pandemic.
