2/13/20 discussion about Judy Blume beyond Margaret

Here is the link to my February 13, 2020, Twitter thread discussion, around the time that it was announced that a movie adaptation of Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. was in the works, about why other works by Blume, such as Wifey and Summer Sisters, which depict not only youth sex, but even lesbian youth sex, should be considered today by anybody who praises Judy Blume but also derides even the mention of the actual physical act of youth sex.

What I didn't know at the time was that talks were actually in place to produce adaptations of Blume's novels Wifey and Summer Sisters -- both of which actually depict sex between young girls. So my point here ended up being kind of moot.
