Here is the link to my Twitter thread review of a 2016 reading of the poetry of Ashraf Fayadh at the University of Denver.

The thread gives some background on the Palestinian poet Ashraf Fayadh and DU's Amnesty Korbel/Middle East Discussion Group, which put on the reading of Fayad's poetry. The thread discusses some of the poems that were read and some of the discussion we had following the reading of the poems.

Ashraf Fayadh is a Palestinian poet who was jailed in Saudi Arabia in 2016. The International Literature Festival Berlin staged readings of Fayadh's poetry around the world in solidarity with Fayadh. I had the honor of staging the Denver, Colorado reading. This thread discusses Fayadh's situation as a preview of that reading.

This reading was staged at RedLine Contemporary Art Center in Denver, Colorado.
