The Final Girls is a horror-comedy film where a young woman goes to watch a slasher film starring her mother and gets sucked into the film with her friends. My thread talks about how the film blends 1980s-style cheesiness with serious issues like coping with loss. I also discuss some of my favorite actors in the film, such as Thomas Middleditch, Alia Shawkat, and Taissa Farmiga.
