Thank you for reading/Quick update

Thank you for visiting this blog.

This blog is essentially a work-in-progress table of contents for all of my Twitter threads, from October of 2012 through the present.

Basically, for each blog post, I link to the Twitter thread and give a little description of what the thread is about (book reviews, movie reviews, political activity, etc.).

I started this project about three years ago and have worked on it in fits and starts since then. As you might notice from the blog entry dates, I actually haven't worked on this project for about a year.

The biggest reason for this is that Twitter's platform has twisted all of my 2018 and 2019 threads out of chronological order. So many of the threads are no longer coherent.

I have struggled over the past year with whether to link the threads to this table of contents. Eventually, I've decided that having the links to the threads in place is still worth something.

I've written about a lot of stuff that might eventually end up being of interest to other folks. In particular, some of the political activity I've been a part of over the years might end up being of interest to people down the road who are, say, interested in contemporary Colorado history. So having links to my threads about those events might help people who eventually want to know more.

However, I'm changing my format for these blog posts.

As you will see, I've previously posted the link to the thread, a paragraph or two of description about the thread, and, sometimes, links to other websites -- such as websites for books, movie theaters, political organizations, etc.

From now on, the blog post will consist of the link to the Twitter thread, a quick, one-sentence description of the thread, and a screen-capture of the first tweet in the thread (which will also link to the thread).

My hope -- we'll see how things go -- is to do one blog post (i.e. link to one Twitter thread) per day.

Given the fact that in 2018 through 2020, I did about 125 threads per year, this basically means I have about one year of work before I get caught up, or before I reach 2021. And that's if I post once per day.

But I think another reason I've always done this work in fits and starts is that I've always tried to finish the project as if I were going to do a high volume of posting, get all my previous threads done, all at once, and then post my present threads on a better paced, one-by-one basis.

That is just not turning out to be the case.

So from now on I will do one blog post per day, posting links to one Twitter thread per day to this site.

I appreciate anybody who has visited this site over the years. And I definitely welcome your constructive feedback.

Thank you.
