Here is the link to a January, 2016, Twitter thread I did reflecting some more on thoughts I had about a lecture given by Jose Angel Gutierrez at the History Colorado Center in 2015.
In this thread I discuss two ideas Gutierrez shared at the talk. One is the idea of "mañana" that is prevalent in the Chicano culture. The other is the idea of the spanish word "ojala" (God willing) and how that word can help Chicano people think about forming solidarity with other people.
