Here is the link to my Twitter thread review of the book The Social Life of DNA: Race, Reparations, and Reconciliation After the Genome, by Alondra Nelson.

The thread gives a summary of the book and some background on Alondra Nelson and how I learned about her. The book discusses how African Americans have used DNA tests to trace their origins in Africa and how that has helped them heal. The thread, while discussing examples, also gives a lot of videos of the subject matter Professor Nelson discusses. The thread also compares Nelson's work with some other works.
