5/18/14 review of Mario Botta and Fritz Lang's Metropolis at Bechtler Museum

Here is the link to my Twitter thread review of two 2014 visits I made to the Bechtler Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina.

One of these visits was made to see the Fritz Lang film Metropolis. I spend quite a while analyzing that film and also, for some reason, comparing it to Major Barbara by George Bernard Shaw.

The second visit was made to see the exhibit Mario Botta: Architecture and Memory, about the art of Mario Botta, who designed the Bechtler's building. My thread discusses Botta's work and influences and has a photo of work by Jean Tinguely and Niki Saint Phalle.

Here is the link to info about the Bechtler's show Mario Botta: Architecture and Memory.

Here is the trailer for the Fritz Lang film Metropolis.
